Having worked for some of Australia’s most iconic and enduring charities including The Salvation Army, Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation, Lifeline Queensland, Mater Hospital Foundation and Variety the Children’s Charity, service to the charity and Not-For-Profit sector is in Matt’s DNA.
In a long list of career highlights, he was fortunate to pioneer the role of Fundraising Manager at the Brisbane Broncos where he successfully directed their Capital Campaign to build a new Training & Community Facility. In addition he designed and launched “Broncos Forever”, a bequest program for Broncos supporters passionately committed to the future success of their team.
After 20 years of working directly for charities, Matt decided it was time to expand his own impact. As a result in late 2023, “The Generous Project” philanthropy and fundraising consultancy was born. Since then he has been supporting other organisations to grow their fundraising programs.
Matt is a Fellow of the Fundraising Institute of Australia (FFIA) and holds the Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) international fundraising credential.
Matt believes that humanity’s search for meaning can be found in great philanthropy and he is focused on helping organisations have great conversations with supporters about giving generously to causes they love.
