The Trust granted $30,000 to YFS Ltd towards the cost of educators delivering the R4Respect program from June to November 2023 covering 934 educator hours delivered over 40 workshops. Support from the Trust allowed R4R to employ a small team of casual peer educators to run the interactive sessions. R4Respect is a youth-led, evidence-based respectful relationships program employing young people from Logan and surrounds as peer educators. R4R is an initiative to prevent domestic and family violence, educating young people on healthy and respectful relationships. R4Respect (R4R) delivered over 40 workshops to young people in Logan and Brisbane Youth Detention Centre. R4R also delivered workshops to young people in the following schools: PCYC Logan, Yourtown Logan, Yarrabilba State Secondary College, Flagstone State High School, Shailer Park State High School, Loganlea State High School, Mabel Park State High School, and Springwood State High School.
The Trust granted a further $21,508 in December 2023 towards 22 youths who have transitioned from out-of-home care and have limited access to economic and social resource support. This program is aimed at improving their employment potential requiring driving lessons (automotive and forklifts), blue cards, and white cards. This program is aimed at 10 youths towards driving licenses, 10 towards child care / community services and 12 trade related qualifications.

YFS Ltd is a not-for-profit, community services organisation based in Logan, Queensland. YFS believes that everyone should have the opportunity to thrive. YFS works alongside people backing them to overcome adversity. YFS supports individuals and families through a mix of government, philanthropic and self-funded initiatives. YFS works together with others to promote inclusion, advocate for justice and influence changes to the service system. During the year YFS provided programs and activities grouped under the following portfolio areas: young people families domestic and family violence housing employment, financial and legal. YFS’s social enterprise, Substation33, incorporated a container recycling operation as well as electronic waste recycling.
